2025 AGIC Symposium Call For Papers

The AGIC Symposium is coming up fast.  Plan to be at the Prescott Resort in beautiful Prescott, AZ from August 26-29 to network with and learn from other GIS Professionals and Vendors from across the state.  Important dates to remember:

*May 23: Abstract submissions due.  Submittal form.

*May 9: T-shirt Design Contest entries due. Entry guidelines.

*July 18: Scholarship applications due.  Includes the Tony Gonzales and Women in GIS Scholarships. 

*July 28: Last day for early bird registration

*Sponsorship sign-up now open.

*August 4: Last day for group room block at Prescott Resort.

ArcGIS Online Student Competition 2024 Winners Announced

Winners of the 2024 ArcGIS Online School Competition were recently announced and Arizona had one of its most successful years yet.  Please join us in congratulating Nina Raju, from Catalina Foothills High School, for winning the National High School Award this year for her storymap on “Wildfires Threaten Saguaro Cacti in Pima County, AZ”!  As part of her award, Nina submitted a short video explaining her storymap, which can be viewed from the Esri competition website.

At the state level, this was the most active competition since Arizona began participating in 2020.  A total of 12 storymaps were submitted by 16 middle and high school students from 4 different schools.  Nina Raju won the State High School Award and Abel Medeiros, from Billy Lane Lauffer Middle School, won the State Middle School Award.
