Mark Christiano Wins US Forest Service Region 3 Award

Mark Christiano, a member of the AGIC Council, was recently awarded the Region 3 Technology Applications Employee of the Year Award by the US Forest Service.
From the US Forest Service “Mark was instrumental in leading a project to acquire forest wide LiDAR and imagery for the Kaibab National Forest Mangum fire. He has organized yearly LiDAR work group symposiums with member across the state of Arizona - he participates and leads service groups for the Arizona Geographic Information Council. He and others responded to a regional GIS issue to look at and determine appropriate position description and hiring methodologies for GIS professionals. He co-led the workgroup and wrote a document on the Workforce for GIS staffing for the USFS.”
