ASU and ASLD Group Wins NSGIC Award

The Arizona State Land Department and the Arizona State University's Geospatial Research Solutions, a professional services group housed within the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning, were awarded the National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC) Geospatial Excellence Catalyst Award for the AZGeo Geospatial Data Hub.  Shea Lemar, a GIS senior project manager with the ASU group and an AGIC Council member, said “having a single data repository for people to find the authoritative data that helps them do their jobs has already saved hundreds of thousands of hours for GIS professionals throughout the state.  Those time savings are passed on as cost savings to the people of Arizona.”
