How Good is the FCC Broadband Fabric in a Big City

On November 18, 2022, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released the National Broadband Map, which includes a new dataset called the “broadband serviceable location fabric.”  The fabric represents every building in the nation that should be able to get consumer broadband.  This includes homes and businesses but not larger institutions, such as universities and hospitals, which generally have higher-grade connectivity.  Read the article to find out how well the fabric represents reality in a city like Chicago.
