Tell a story about an Arizona issue using maps

Win $100 and a trip to San Diego, CA.

Competition open to AZ students in grades 4-12 who can analyze, interpret & present data via an ArcGIS web app or story map.

The Basics of the State Level Competition

  • One adult sponsor registers his or her school/organization https://forms.gle/85rBBjePUp9d4rRz7
  • School/organization promotes the competition and supports participants in the creation of story maps or web apps that:
    • Answer an Arizona-based question,
    • Propose a solution to an Arizona-based problem, or
    • Address an Arizona-based issue.
  • School/organization collects and judges the maps/apps (if there are more than 5 entries) before May 13, 2020
  • School/organization submits up to 5 entries to the Arizona competition by May 13, 2020
  • AZ judges select the top 5 HS and top 5 MS (grades 4-8) entries, award $100 to each winning entry, and enter the 10 state-level winners in the Esri national competition
