AGIC provides the links below as a starting point for those interested in investigating training options. Posting these links should not infer that AGIC endorses any particular training.

General GIS Training Options

FOSS4G GeoAcademy Curriculum - Free courses using QGIS software.

Lynda.com: Now LinkedIn Learning.  Course access does require a subscription.  However, check with your employer or local library if they already have a subscription, which would allow you with free access.  For example, Mesa and Chandler Public Libraries offer free access to those with library cards.

Open Textbook Library: Provides free downloadable copies of "Nature of Geographic Information Systems" by David DiBiase and "Essentials of Geographic Information Systems" by Jonathan Campbell.


Free GIS Learning Resources and Courses from Universities

The following resources are available for self-paced learners and do not earn course credit towards a degree.

Coursera: Free online courses from top universities.  Search for courses with the tag "gis".

MIT OpenCourseware GIS Tutorial: Free materials used in MIT GIS courses. Note, some materials may be out-dated but the information should still be valuable.
